Steam does not maximize correctly on Windows
Since a few months ago, the Steam window no longer maximizes or resizes correctly. Often, the window will go maximized but will still behave as if it were windowed. The corners remain rounded, the window can still be resized, and the maximize icon does not update. Restoring the window and maximizing it again seems to fix the issue for a bit, but it comes back pretty soon after.

Another issue is the window glitching visually while maximized. Often the window will become "offset" and move off-screen by 20ish pixels. The window can still be interacted with and can be fixed by restoring and maximizing it, but it often blocks access to certain buttons and can be an annoyance.

Specs:
Windows 11 21H2 (I saw this issue on Windows 10 20H2 as well)
AMD Ryzen 5 2600x
32GB DDR4 4x8GB
Radeon RX 570 4GB
Latest Steam beta
Screen is 1920x1080 with 100% scaling. I am using triple monitors as well.

Here is a screenshot of the window when it is not maximized correctly: https://ibb.co/7VfhNNk

This is also happening to me - the margins of the window don't fully extend to the border of the screen, leaving a few lines of pixels from the background windows visible
Yeah recently that has started happening, too. The window appears offset with white borders until I re-maximize it.

so nobody got a workaround for this? volvo pls flix
Only workaround I found is to just restore the window then maximize it again. Only fixes it for like 5 minutes but it works I guess...

This has been reported a few times, I have had this issue since Windows 11 was released over a year ago. Over a year and no fix from Valve
The solution I found was
switching back to Windows 10 (I also did it because Chivalry 2 refused to open for some reason)

Switching back to Windows 10 is not a solution, Valve need to fix this, over a year and this bug remains.
Yeah I can't just switch back to Windows 10. I would need to reconfigure a lot of programs I use and that would take me over a week to do. Valve really needs to fix this issue.

I'm on Windows 10 and this issue is still happening, has been happening for a long while. Don't know why Valve hasn't fixed it.
