No polish letters in overlay

Hi, Polish language works normal when you use chat in steam aplication without any open game but if you run a game and use steam overlay chat (shift +tab) suddenly polish latters like ą, ę, ś, ć and other stop working. You can't write it in chat.

I have the same problem that Polish characters do not work in the steam overlay and in games (as if the overlay would overwrite the character codes - the pasted text is correct).
Characters such as ą ż ś ź ę ć ń ó ł CHARIDS>>[software.hixie.ch]
are given as ¹ ¿ œ Ÿ ê æ ñ ó ³ CHARIDS>>[software.hixie.ch]

I just wanted to say that the issue still persists and it's really annoying. And I can't use the special characters in the Steam Overlay browser either, not just the chat. Windows 10, by the way (although the issue was also present on Windows 7 before I upgraded a few weeks ago).

Steam browser in game does not allow language specific characters

ISSUE
From more than half year I am unable to use polish characters like "ą", "ę", "ł" "ń", "ż", "ź" in Steam Browser when I am playing any games by steam. When I click for instance "right alt+A" to obtain "ą" nothing happens. Of course that occur even in games that have polish language.

Windows 10 HOME 21H2 (19044.1889)

STEPS
1. Launch any game (in example Total War Warhammer 3, Squad, Mafia 3 and all others)
2. Open steam overlay/browser (any page) in game.
3. Try to use polish letters (diacritics) ą, ę, ś, ć, ł, etc. (when you have polish keyboard in system of course selected)

RESULTS
Nothing happens.

EXPECTED
Cahracters should be displayed.

UNSUCCESFULL ATTEMPTS ALREADY MADE:
1. Check game integrity
2. Check Stem integrity
3. Using chkdsk or sfc /scannow is command window.
4. Update Nvidia drivers.
5. Remove entire steam and install it again.

It's apparently not an issue with special characters themselves but the alt key shortcuts. I have no idea why Valve keeps ignoring this issue.

Maybe but yesterday i have strange situation when writing with friend when in TW: Warhammer 3 was going computer turn some special letters was working, when i was writing fast. It looks like when steam/computer is much busy then overley is warking properly :D

The latest Steam beta patch seems to have finally fixed this issue. Enable Steam Beta Update from the settings if you haven't already to get it.
