Can't invite friends (Rocket League) with or without Big Picture mode & Steam Controller

Normally from the Rocket League menu, you press X to invite, go to the player, and select it. In Beta, it just opens the main shift+tab menu in what looks to be big picture, but I can't invite friends. I've tried several different methods and can't find a consistent workaround. 2 buddies of mine are having this issue as well.

Only seems to affect big picture mode on SteamOS. BPM on another computer running a different Linux distro works fine.

I found a work around. This might help narrow down the issue as well. I edited /usr/bin/steamos-session by removing the `-steamos` option from the steam command. I do lose some other functionality though, so it is not a long term solution.

Hi, I know this is an old thread, but I am still having problems with sending Friend Requests/invites in big picture mode. I am using a Nintendo switch pro controller.

I have an issue, but google did not show any prompts related to the issue. This is the closest issue I can find to the problem. I've been opening Big Picture Mode, with a Controller, and I'd open the game, and try to invite my Xbox Live friends into a party. (i'm a pc user.) They told me they weren't getting the invites, and they didn't see me online in rocket league, but on xbox live, for them it said I was on Rocket League from the friends list
