Web browser displaying weird URLs
i noticed this after the last update, first i went on google and i searched for a song on youtube, i cliecked on it and everything was normal, but the url was not, it had random numbers and letters on it, so i closed it and opened again, then the url was normal, so i cleared the cache and cookies for the steam web browser, and i went to reddit, but the same thing happened, but this time i copied the URL: ttps:/us-u.openx.net/w/1.0/pd?plm=10&ph=b77c0d06-dd50-4f0c-8a15-b8f5c1c4ca31
so i clicked the refresh button and it displayed the normal reddit url, what is going on? i put this website on virustotal and it said it was clean, but i didnt try to open it tho.

Your computer suffers
ADDWARE
Apparently OpenX, a legit ad platform using Open Source, is known for exploits in their software. You should clean your computer(s).

my computer is clean, i ran avast and malwarebytes, also i only use facebook, some reddit pages, youtube, alliedmodders, sourcemod and steam, i also only download stuff from trusted websites, anything apart from that i use 1 specific virtual machine. this issue only occured once, the virst time was another link, but also it was after i opened an url on my tf2 motd, and my server has an advert plugin, so i think it kinda glitched out the in-game browser with a cookie/cache, after i manually cleaned the steam browser cache the problem is gone.
when i was googling about that website i found some tutorials on how to remove it, so i checked the windows registry, programs installed, nothing, also there was no advert, a friend of mine had an adware that displayed ads on the steam client, my dad had one that affected his browser(steam client also has a built-in browser btw), and i had none of that, literally just a url that appeared once, after a page refresh there was nothing, also i saw no javascript popup on my desktop, that weird url was all, nothing else, another weird thing about this was that i was unable to reproduce the error, could've been because the option to clear the browser cache and cookie from steam dont clean 100% of it, but i honestly dont know.
another thing: i just noticed that the urls displayed on my steam client dont have https, for exemple, this thread url here is displayed as http://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta/discussions/0/2741975115068670530/?tscn=1494743502, without https, i've found 2 more threads about this, so is there any way i can force it to be https?
welp, even on the steam webpage the screenshots annoucing the new client a while back dont have https, found another screenshot but not from valve, same thing, and just because my level of paranoia is really high, i searched for steam on my windows server 2016 virtual machine on both google chrome and internet explorer, no https there... anyway, im gonna go to sleep now before i die from a heart attack due to extremely high level of paranoia.
PS: just checked the steam website on my android phone that i use only for steam authenticator and email authenticator, never connected to my pc or anything, brand new, and both steam store and steam community didnt have any https.

Steam pages that need extra protection are httpS, such as log-in or billing. So don't worry to much there.

I might've jumped to a conclusion to quickly. You know what/where to look for malware and you run a server and VM so i believe you if you say no malware is present.

the only places i looked were on hkey_local machine/user/microsoft/windowsNT, there was no folder with the name openx or anything like that, if u know for another palce to look at feel free to tell me, ill check immediately. i also belive i have no malware/adware because all of the "problems" i had on my computer, i made them seem like a big deal but the solution was extremely simple, 3 exemples: after the windows booted up it would lock up and i could only mose my mouse. cause: AVG. and the other one was not having https on google using chrome, a friend of mine thought it was a browser hijacker, but it was a style i was using with stylish, its picture was hosted on a non-https website. and the last one: google chrome would crash if i right click with a game opened, as always i thought it was a virus until i searched on reddit and found a post of a guy with the same problem.
EDIT: i remembered of another problem i still have but i figured it out: windows clock cant keep up, it happens because every week it gets late by ~3 seconds due to it not being able to sync. cause: my isp is blocking NTP, i can sync the time without any problems using a VPN.
