I.e. the publisher ignore feature is not functioning.
They should be. They're publisher-affiliated promotional material I would expect to be included in the ignore function.
Edit: Ignoring the madden title in question on its store page removes the banner and replaces it with a Klei promotional one. Ignoring EA and anything they publish/develop should have covered that.
They should've never appeared there in the first place, not if the publisher level ignore button worked as expected and advertised.
Yes, I still have electronic farts as an ignored publisher. No, the ignore publisher function still does nothing.
Related bug: ignoring the "ea play" item manually does not remove the "ea play" promo banner from my store page. Not only should either of those items NOT be getting shown to me if I've chosen to ignore ea on the publisher level, but the banner should not be getting shown if I've manually selected ignore on the item it is promoting.

I'll give that a try and report back. Thanks!
This did not fix it as it turned out, because what do I see when I navigate to my store page just now but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fifa by none other than everyone's favourite publisher plastering my storefront. Not only is it obscuring other titles I might actually be interested in, but it's wasting my time having to ignore it manually.
Sure would be nice if steam features actually worked.
