Steam Web Browser Netflix Error: M7121-1331-P7

This bug was introduced in the recent Steam Client beta that got pushed to the main Steam client last week. Prior to that, Netflix worked perfectly fine.

ISSUE
Attempting to watch Netflix in any ISteamHTMLSurface browser, such as in the Steam Overlay, now results in an on-screen error "Whoops, something went wrong... Unexpected Error Code: M7121-1331-P7"

OS
Windows 10

STEPS

1. Open a new web browser in the Steam Overlay.
2. Go to www.netflix.com
3. Log-in
4. Try to watch something

RESULTS
Instead of playing the video, the browser shows the in-page error message as described. Upon googling the error code, this Netflix page comes up saying it is a browser issue: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/61874

EXPECTED
For the video to play perfectly fine, as it did prior to the recent Steam client update.

NOTE
Other streaming sites, such as Curiosity Stream & YouTube, still work perfectly fine as before. The recent Steam client update only broke Netflix.

As of July 26, Netflix appears to be working for me in the steam browser in Big Picture mode.

Still not workin' for me either, and I don't think Valve cares to look into it very much because they expect Netflix to not work at all eventually from heavy DRM. I think we are just shafted on this one.

I got the same but on Chrome, how long did it take to work again for you ?

very anoying: steam points at netflix and netflix points at steam. how come i can watch netflix on all of my browsers: chrome, firefox and explorer but not on the ingame chrome based browser?
Looks like a steam problem to me then
