Controller not working correctly in big picture

My controller seems to be broken while in big picture. It works fine in game. Every time I press a button on my controller it presses twice in big picture as you can see. Nvidia shield controller 2017 using Bluetooth to PC. I'm using the latest beta update. Happened before I switched to beta too. Any suggestions?

How long have you been experiencing this issue? If you got to BPM->Settings->Controller Settings do you see a 2nd controller?

Yes. I'm picking up an unregistered gamepad as well as an unregistered Xbox 360 controller. Not sure why. This controller has always been buggy with Steam for me. I believe Valve should add official support for this controller to work out the kinks and take full advantage of it. I gotta imagine there's a quite large userbase using this controller through Steam Link on their Shield. Not to mention this controller costs a fraction of the price of the Switch Pro, Xbox One and PS4 controllers.

You can fix this by going into the BPM Settings->Base Configuration -> Big Picture and un-binding all the controls for one of the controller. I've also forwarded this on to another engineer who works more closely with this part of the controller support.

This solution worked. Is there any way to delete one of the controllers from the controller setup page? Thanks.

@dripeasy - it looks like this is currently broken but you used to be able to re-define the layout for the controller and hit - "clear and exit" . I've added this to my todo list.

Hey. this feature is still broken and I'm unable to use my controller. What's going on?

I'm still unable to unbind controls from the non-existent controller in the controller settings.

Im having this issue with my switch pro controller and I've gotten it to work and then it stopped working when my computer crash playing monster hunters. It messed up my amd drivers and I had to reinstall and afterwards BPM(Big Picture Mode) stopped working again with the controller. Its a bummer because No Mans Sky uses BPM in order to work. I've tried reapplying the default layout and restarting my computer. Any suggestions? I did at one time change the layout of the default configuration but then it gave me an error it wasn't reversable, but then I had it working again for a while so Im wondering what it could be tied to.

Clear and exit is back. But define layout is broken.
