On the steam client, "Oops, looks like your browser was told to deny us microphone access!"
As the title says. I'm on the steam client, and when I join a call with beta client users, I can't use the mic, and on the "mic muted" button, that message shows when I hover over the button.

Steam recognizes my mic, it just won't let me use it for some reason. No idea what the cause of this is, but it's something to take note of.

Yes.

Anyway, the post was referring to voice chat in browsers. It said that the only browser voice chat worked on was chrome.

In steam, it implied from the get go that it would just work with other people using the new chat.

Also, keep in mind: The chat is out of beta, this issue shouldn't even exist. Voice chat should just work for everyone now. Which it doesn't.

Just found out what the problem was. i use a kinect as temporary mic since the other one broke, and when i change to te other mic's option it will instantly work even tho' is broken, so the problem is Steam not letting that specific mic do it's job; I don't know what to do here.....

Same issue with my Kinect mic. Would be nice if they could get that fixed.

users of any other windows cant do this, so its actually very useless to many. more own old windows OS's than people who own windows 10, so to most this post just makes people more frustrated. i use windows 7, so this post is the most worthless, useless, pointless, frustrating post here because IT HELPS VERY LITTLE PEOPLE.
