Generic gamepad now misidentified after 07/19 client update.
Issue: I've been using a Hori Pokken Tournament controller (Pokkén Tournament Pro Pad for Wii U) as a generic device in the configurator after manually mapping its inputs. After the update Steam identifies it as a Switch Pro controller.
I see that support has been added for the successor to my controller (labeled a HORI Pokken Tournament DX Pro Controller in the update); it would be perfect if the client could treat my controller as this newly supported option.

OS: Windows 10
Device HID\VID_0F0D&PID_0092

Steps: Unplugged controller (removed device) and toggled generic gamepad support on and off in BPM. Restarted Steam.

Thanks for any assistance.

Can you describe your issue more? Is the problem that it shows up as a Switch Controller or that your device wasn't listed as supported? That's the exact same VID/PID as the DX Pro so it should work the same in Steam.

Yeah, that it is now showing as a Switch Pro controller is the issue. I don't know why its not identifying correctly.

I wouldn't mind remapping, but it's more challenging in its current state than before when it was treated as generic. And since it's now supported anyway, I figured....
