PS4 Button mapping is Wrong
Issue

After installing the update my Dual Shock 4 Controller's mapping has completely changed.

OS
Windows 10

Steps

- Opened Steam
- Update installed
- Turned on Controller
- Clicked on LIBRARY
- Opened Stardew Valley
- Tried to play

Bug

The button mapping was wrong. Circle registered as Square, the D pad registered as the right control stick.

Expected

The controls to be the same as they were last night.

Are you using Steam Input with this controller and if so what configuration are you using?

Ah - in this update we changed the desktop client's logic for which configuration it picks to match Big Picture. If you haven't selected a configuration yet we will start by taking any official configuration the dev has set otherwise we need to pick a configuration for you. In the desktop client we used to just give a normal gamepad template if the game is has the "full controller support" tag in the store otherwise we would give you a keyboard/mouse template. This wasn't ideal because even in many games where the tag isn't set your controller will still work. In Big Picture we would instead give you the top community created configuration because the better configuration would end up with more hours played. Both ways to launch the game will now select the same configuration and we've added a notification on game-launch that tells you which configuration you've got applied.

The top community configuration for Stardew Valley is remapped the way you are describing so I'm pretty sure this what happened. You can re-select the gamepad template from the overlay to fix this and from then on out you'll get that config.

I've made my custom template to translate DS4's input to xinput and I've been using that on every game that supports 360's controller (xinput), after the most recent update I can't get the d-pad to work anymore. I've only tested this while trying to play Resident Evil 2, I have 2 dualshock 4 controllers and the d-pad "translation" doesn't work anymore on both of them, the game is working flawlessly with my 360's controller though

Can you save the configuration as a personal config and then go to export->highlight the config->hit share, and then post the link here?

Also are you using the original DS4 or the v2 that started shipping with the PS4 Slim?

I've tested a couple more games that I would usually play with dpad using this template and I got the same results. here's my config steam://controllerconfig/312530/1715924882
pretty sure both my DS4 controllers are v2, they have that front-facing lightbar

The issue is with the cross gate setting. I'll get a fix out in the next beta. For now changing the gate setting to either 4way or 8way will fix it.

Please, I have an issue with my PS4 controller. It has like 2 profiles now. The one which I am sharing with my Sis and the other is supposed to be mine, but it stuck as unregistered and it's a problem. I don't see anywhere the button to deregister that profile and delete it. Can you tell me the path of the folder or something that the profiles are saved?

Not the game's profiles, the controller's profiles, like, mine and my Sis', so I can find mine which is the new/faulty one and delete it/de-register it. Please.
