Can't upload .jpeg pictures, yet I Can upload .png pictures

As the title says, I simply can't upload jpeg/jpg pictures on any chat from both client and browser, yet I can do with .png ones. It's been happening since days and as client I got the beta version. If I try to select a .jpeg picture, the preview is the icon when a picture didn't load or can't load (A paper with a hill and a cloud), and when I try to upload it, it simply says FAILED TO LOAD or something like this. If I click on the url that's given, it's simply a square with white borders and black/transparent inside. A friend confirmed this as well, about the square as result.

The last Chat update was on the 30th. The Chat updates separately from the client.

can't upload '.jpeg' no matter what I do for artwork. moment i turn it into png it works fine but so much more space used on the cloud storage
