[BUG] Indefinitely Online from mobile device

ISSUE
• Some users, who use Steam on their phones, may rarely get stuck in a "Online from mobile device" persona status indefinitely once they close the Steam App and switch to Steam Desktop, until the next Steam maintenance happens.
• Force-closing the app, setting "Offline" status in the app, reinstalling the app, turning off Wi-Fi or turning off the entire phone won't fix the issue.
• De-authorizing the phone from Steam Guard won't fix the issue.
• Entirely logging off the account from the phone won't fix the issue.
• Changing Steam password works as a workaround, until the same issue happens again.

OS
• Any.

STEPS
• There are no particular steps to make the bug happen: it just randomly happens whenever the user switches from phone to Steam Desktop.

RESULTS
• Phone icon doesn't disappear when the user switches from phone to desktop until the next Steam maintenance happens.

EXPECTED
Once the user performs any of the following steps, the phone icon should disappear in a short period of time, instead of disappearing after the next Steam maintenance:

• Setting "Offline" status in the Steam app.
  
• Closing the Steam app.
  
• Force-closing the Steam app.
  
• Uninstalling the Steam app.
  
• Turning the entire phone off.
  
• Turning Wi-Fi off on the phone.

Edit:
As an experiment, now my phone is entirely turned off and I've set my persona status to "Offline" on Steam desktop and I have also rebooted my router.
I'm absolutely not Online on any devices, and I still see myself (check my profile) as "Online".
Before setting my persona status to "Online", I will tell you here on this post so, actually I'm not using Steam friends or Steam status on any device, I'm offline on all devices.
Update:
Been offline on all devices from Tue, 17 Oct, 2017, UTC 22:55 to Tue, 17 Oct, 2017, UTC 23:10. Appeared as Online on Steam all the time.

After Steam maintenance, phone icon disappeared, as I wanted to demonstrate (see ISSUE).

Well, I know Android would keep me online an hour after using [Go Offline] on the mobile app.

iOS has always put me offline immediately when I use it. Probably does the instant I intend to continue sleeping. https://i.imgur.com/TAjzqVF.jpg

No personal experience on how it behaves on Windows Phone.

So it is not taken for granted that it will always happen.
