[BUG] Steam Client won't hide video progress/buttons bar of videos in store
Something recently changed in Steam Client so that the little bar at the bottom with the current time and buttons never disappears if I'm in full-screen mode.

If I just press the full-screen button from the windowed view, it initially hides quickly, but the mouse pointer remains visible. If I then move the mouse at all, or press any buttons, the bar comes back and remains permanently.

No amount of time will make this bar disappear. I find it very distracting. Interestingly, the mouse cursor does disappear correctly, so it's not as though I'm just moving the mouse by accident or something.

I don't remember how it worked with Stable Client but now it's like you said - plus, even my mouse pointer isn't disappearing.

this also affects the non beta client. Have had this since last year and through all the updates up to date can't remember when it started tho. If i change to big picture the bar is gone but, but hey that is a different ui....

One workaround is to right-click the video and choose "view video," then you can just use your browser's player instead. This way you don't have to deal with this bug
Kind of annoying, but way less annoying than having part of the video get cut off :P

This bug seems to have been around since I started using Steam in 2012, it's amazing that such an annoying issue is still not fixed in 2022, the experience of watching trailers on Steam is so unpleasant......:csgo_despair:
