We need to destroy the IO failure now
I've recently got issues with GMOD addons caused by steam. I found a way to fix it but it doesn't remove it pernamently.

I've made a thread there and posted what I did to fix it: https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1560262&p=52265367#post52265367

ISSUE

Error downloading file! [37]

IOFailure AKA Input/Output failure AKA Steam failed to read of write either from/to their servers(??) or more likely, your HDD.

Then there is a second issue called Garry's Mod - Ready To Play. Which wants me to download 0 Bytes which actually stops so it might be 0.100 bytes that you can't see.

OS (Operating System)
Windows 10

STEPS (to reproduce)

There isn't an actual way to reproduce it just a theory.

Subscribe to a gmod addon
Desubscribe the gmod addon you just subscribed
Repeat these steps a lot of times
Start GMOD
Check the console logs

RESULTS
Remember this was only a theory to reproduce the bug but I am not sure. My hardware has space otherwise I couldn't download other addons.

But otherwise this should appear in your console with a red color on gmod.
Error downloading file! [37]

EXPECTED
This issue has an error number. There should be a button called "Fix IO failure issue" if it doesn't get fixed then its your hardware.

Now because I can't use this format so good I am gonna tell you how to fix it.

HOW TO FIX IT

Deinstall Garry's Mod
Delete the downloadcache using the steam settings
Restart your Computer
Install Garry's Mod again.

WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN

All addons should get installed now. If not which could happen too repeat these steps. I am not sure if you have to restart your computer too but just do it since it closes steam too when you delete the downloadcache so yeah its better.
