Under "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019" download the vc_redist.x86.exe and vc_redist.x64.exe.
The mod only requires x64 but there may be other programs you use that use the x86 so worthwhile to install that too
Continue to follow step 1 and 2. I checked out the overlay by switching to DX11 and there's no settings I needed to fiddle with so if you liked DX12 just stick to that.
EDIT: In the offchance you're using DX12 and you get massive screen tearing. Then you need to go into dxgi.ini and edit this value.
AllowTearingInDWM=true
change that true to
AllowTearingInDWM=false
