The error message you describe is a known issue, and there's not much to do about it than reinstall or manually extract the relevant archive files to the Documents\My Mods\SpecialK folder from GitHub: https://github.com/Kaldaien/SpecialK/releases
The global injector doesn't work on any games at all. Even games i know for sure it used to work on. I have the log files for a game that used to work here [filebin.net]
Is this on a hybrid Intel/Nvidia laptop or similar system? I seem to see Intel's drivers be loaded by the logs as well, which could maybe be involved.
If it's on a desktop, please confirm that the monitor is connected to the display ports of the Nvidia card and not directly to the motherboard's display port.
I don't really think that's how it works. See e.g. Do extra monitors really lower FPS? I ran a series of tests to find out.
