Regarding Special K Installer

Hi SK team !

I've discovered this Mod for Nier Automata and found that this can be installed globally for Steam.

But, in fact, i have only few games occuring stuttering and some are not from Steam so i'm wondering if there is a manual way to install this Injector on specific games.

If so, where and how ?


My second question is there any impact when using OBS or Shadowplay for streaming or video recording ?

Few of us uses OBS and/or Shadowplay, but I don't remember hearing major issues with those tools at least. Occasionally compatibility issues occurs though, but it has been a while since I last heard of one.

Ok i got past these guide and i got this error message while running the EXE of the game:
"Internal error 0x0D: Interface not found: SteamUser023!

The game is Atelier Shallie EN version and yes it's not the Steam official version. It's only for testing purpose perhaps you can explain what is happening here ?

(PS: i had buy this game and got refund because of stuttering in fullscreen mode)

For other games that don't need a steam_emu or api it works pretty fine but i will need help to understand better what i can tweak for those micro stutters appearing every 10 seconds. Will open a new thread for that later.

We can't provide support for illegitimate versions of games, regardless of whether they use Steam's API or not.

To get past that particular error message you basically have to disable Special K's Steam enhancements, but past that point we have no way of guaranteeing whether any issue you experience is caused by the illegitimate nature of that copy and what it does, or something else entirely, and so support can't be provided.

To disable Special K's Steam enhancements, refer to the below section on PCGW:

I understand clearly what you mean i just wanted an explantation of this error. I don't wanted this to work with a support.

So i finally buy it and i found the solution to my issue.

Those experiencing the same problem within this game in fullsscreen mode:
Disable Fullscreen mode of the game's settings.ini file:
Set Fullscreen=0 instead of 1

In SpecialK's dxgi.ini settings in [System.Window] section set:
Borderless=true
Center=true
FullScreen=true
(those 3 are false by default)

Problem magically disappeared.
