So you are not able to launch the CK, but are you able to launch Skyrim? Or any other game in your Steam library?

I want to attach a script to an object that the player can activate to start a repeatable quest.

If MyQuest is not running, I want it to start the quest. But I'm not sure if I should use "IsStopped" because the very first time the player activates the object, MyQuest has never started before.

you may want to try forcing the Steam client to rebuild a file called ClientRegistry.blob

Completely exit from the Steam client.
Go to C:\Program Files\Steam (or the Steam directory that was specified during installation).
Locate ClientRegistry.blob and rename this file to ClientRegistryOld.blob.
Restart Steam to allow the file to be recreated.

hmm, once i had a similar error message "please try later" and I think it was fixed by verifying integrity of local cache. have you tried that?

The creation kit shouldn't be affected by the number of mods, as you are only loading Skyrim.esm and your active plugin.

Do you know how much RAM your PC has? Maybe it could be a problem with a corrupted mod file that you are working on. Try to upload a test mod that has just one change to somethign very small (you can set it to private, so it doesn't appear in the workshop search).

Is it possible you are running out of memory? is the render window open when you are doing this?

What are your computer specs?

Anundiel, not sure about that particular error, but setting the editor to load Dawnguard.bsa doesn't hurt anything at all, unless you are specifically trying to make a mod that doesn't require Dawnguard.

In any case, I'm pretty sure it's not possible to load Dawnguard without adding the Dawnguard.bsa to the resource archive list as detailed above.
