Modding Shrine Blessings
I'm new to the creation kit. I've been toying for a few days with changing the effects of some of the divine shrines and standing stones, to make them more to my liking. I'm finding that there are strong limitations on which kinds of effects can be applied where. Only very simple bonuses seem to apply to the shrines.

If I want to make a blessing that mimics one of the weapon perks (bleeding damage, for example) I have to create a new magic effect. Standing stones are even more complicated. I haven't tried scripting at all yet, so I'm just not touching those at all for now.

One of my main problems is that the more complicated effects are more difficult to test. How do I check that a 10% damage increase to undead is actually taking effect? Are there console cheats that let me see the numeric damage values of each weapon strike I make, or do I just rely on detecting a general vibe of deadliness?

So far, I have uploaded a smithing bonus mod. I also have a fire immunity one that's ready to upload, and I'm still working on the "smite" undead ability. If anyone has tips or would be willing to test them with me, I'd be obliged. Actually, if anyone knows of an existing mod that does these things, that's even better.

You can try targeting the monster and typing "getav health" to check the current health of the enemy after you strike. That's the best way I know of.
