We're not here to just hate on games because of a common rumour. I'm aware that Doom has Denuvo Anti-Tamper and Anti-Cheat but is there any solid evidence that it is spyware?
If not then this is just witch hunting a AAA company because you dislike their practices, which disliking the practices is fine but you should be fighting against them using valid criticism rather than just "I heard that X was true on Reddit so it must be"
Denuvo functions like a VM machine, NOT WELCOMED on your PC VM machine
https://www.reddit.com/r/CrackStatus/comments/43dgej/how_denuvo_works_and_why_its_so_hard_to_crack/
While there's no clear proof it's collecting any information, it is definitely concerning to see something like this included in the game as at the very least it leaves machines vulnerable to attacks.
The spyware claim I think is a little more questionable. While the anti-cheat implementation at hand COULD be used for that purpose, there's been no evidence to suggest it is being used as such.
Just for clarity though: Denuvo Anti-Cheat is different to Denuvo Anti-Tamper. The former is an anti-cheat system which is what is being talked of here and anti-tamper is the DRM that's commonly received criticism. This anti-cheat is seemingly brand new.
I'm aware of how Denuvo works but to my knowledge there is no proof its collecting user data. I'm also not an NPC and I don't appreciate you calling me one, I'm just doing my job as a moderator of this discord by asking you to prove your claim.

Denuvo is known for managing user's data, can it collect data/does collect in such case? And it doesn't show any full logs to you
Hey Valkor!
Hope I can shed a little more light onto what Ratchet is talking about.
So the Denuvo software being used isn't the commonly criticised DRM Denuvo Anti Tamper. This is a new piece of "software" known as Denuvo Anti Cheat .
Ratchet is seeking evidence of the software claims and I'll admit, from my looking into it, as I said in a previous response, I can see how it can be used as such but there's currently no evidence it's being used as such.
I'll include a couple links here that delve more into the matter.
The original thread: https://bethesda.net/community/topic/407885/why-you-should-remove-doom-eternal-from-your-pc-immediately/2?language%5B%5D=en
This is a thread that Sid sent me for further insight into the kernel level access
https://secret.club/2020/04/17/kernel-anticheats.html
Hope this helped clear up any confusion and please I encourage informing others on any believed misconceptions or to educate any ill informed instead of brushing off what they're saying so quickly with less than helpful means.
the problem is not that it collects our data but the fact that it makes a pc extremely vulnerable
with the kernel permisions
and this is anecdotal but people have say that it drasticaly hurts the performance of everything not just doom eternal
and apparently in linux doesnt work anymore
