Tips for players
Hey, since we often see players get raided because of aviodable mistakes I thought we should make a Tips-section in the /info-command and also here in the forum.

Feel free to post everything you think that could help new players to get started and be safe. :)

Ok... I'll start:

protection:
  • Always put a TC in your base and check (/showsphere) if it completely encloses it.
  • Always put window bars in your windows.
  • Always lock your doors.
  • For added security: Lock your chests with code locks.
  • Close your roof!

general:
  • Start with a small hut if you don't have enough resources to secure it.
  • If you don't have enough resources for locks just build a wall. With /remove or /tp you can still get inside.
  • Always stay at the public machinery you are using.

protection:

- Always put a TC in the lowest floor of your base and check (/showsphere) if it completely encloses it.

If you ever need help putting things in correct English I'm also here. I'm a qualified editor and former English teacher.

Protection
- it is a good idea to close TCs behind walls. If you need to adjust permissions just use /remove to access them
- You can also place code locks on latches and gates and should whenever possible
- If you are building on your own and not part of a village/community it can be a good idea to build a small (single) ring of protection boxes around your base. This can give you room for further expansion and also prevent anyone from building right up against you.

General
- upgrade foundations to wood as soon as possible as twig foundations can decay. Always upgrade the foundations below TCs first.
- try to upgrade foundations to stone as soon as possible so no one can get in underneath them
- once you have finished editing a sign remember to lock it
- Never make your code lock password something like 0000 or 1234. Use something easy for you to remember.

Protection:
- never sleep on the ground floor, because bears and/or wolfes can slip through foundations and kill you, so better you build a second floor to sleep on when you log out :shaka:
I need all the help and tips I broke my stone on a tree and cant find any,I can find food and got lucky to get a gun in something lol

It's bad if you break your rock - you get a new one just by dieing. Or maybe some of the other players is giving you a tool. They are quite helpful :) Also, don't do to much today, cause the wipe will happen this evening and then you'll be starting from zero again (and with a new rock ;) ) :alwayschicken:

On Rustlabs[rustlabs.com] you can find several useful information about e.g. drop rates of items, smelting times, health of the helicopter/bradley or the most effective way (sulfur-wise) to destroy the helicopter/bradley and more.

In case anyone else is annoyed that the ingame voice chat is useless:
Open console (F1) and type audio.voices 6
Replace the number with the volume you want. 6 works perfect for me, your milage may vary.
