A Nation in Mourning

Today at 9:50 PM, Cardinal Milton Rincón of Industria's Catholic Church passed away in his sleep. Often known as 'The Instrument of Peace," Rincón was integral to keeping the peace between the believers of Catholicism and those of the Older Faith of the Six. It has been said that without his hand, the nation would have erupted into Civil War way before now.

The official cause of death is of natural causes, but others insist it was of shock and of a broken heart. The peace he worked for didn't last...

Princess Hope has called for a day of Mourning (a call seconded by Braiser) for such a bridge building man, and his likeness and most famous quote are to be added to the Industrian wall of fame. "One cannot understand the mind of others until he fully understands his own."

He was 69 years old.

As news of the civil war within their southern neighbor spread - Kaned and Adral formed a joint-expeditionary-force that they will be deploying to help the loyalists against the rebellion, as of yet, the numbers are not disclosed, but it is expected they will deploy within the next week.

And regarding another issue - A foreign power will be sending a rather large force to intervene as well, one from across the seas. Monroe doctrine dictates that Adral warn the Calradian army to back off - No foreign powers are to have any sort of thing to do military-wise with Adral's home continent, and they will enforce it.

The President makes it very clear that he does not want this to escalate - but he will escalate the situation if necessary.
