I'm not sure if y'all are aware but Nukeart studios have copyrighted the words "HIDDEN CATS" and have subsequently been targeting developers on steam with infringement notices. They've retroactively claimed ownership back to 2022. A lot of other hidden cat developers have had to rebrand overnight or be delisted on steam. Nukearts DID NOT invent this niche genre. They are trademark trolling and bullying.

Consider delisting your curated reviews if possible for their games.
I'm just spreading the word, it helps if more people know and more people to talk about it.

Not to mention coming up in April 2026, the Hidden Object Festival sale begins on steam and new games set to release are affected by this.

Yes, we do share some reviews between IndieGems and our curator page because we want to highlight games that we think our audience would enjoy, even if they’re not strictly otomes. While otomes remain the primary focus here, we’ve always aimed to celebrate a variety of games that appeal to our community, especially when they share similar vibes or storytelling elements.
