[ RELEASED ] Resizeable Texture Panels
Hey again!

I've created a model which is a simple one-sided plane, it might not seem useful at first but it can be used for many things such as set-building or reflections via RT cameras. It is designed for ease of use allowing easy selection of texture through skins and an easy way to resize the panel through bodygroups.

This model has 16 different skins and 8 different sizes (64x64-8192x8192), sizes are changed by right-clicking the animation set, browsing to the "Set Body Groups" dropdown and choosing a desired size from the panel bodygroup.

Textures for the skins are located in materials/models/texturepanels/, each VMT matches the skin ID in-game. The model comes with 16 skins using stock TF2 materials set up by Zachariah but these are easily customizable for your own needs.

You can horizontally flip a texture if desired (for reflections mainly), to do so you want to select the "hidden" entry in the panel bodygroup and select an appropriate size from the panel_flipped_horiz bodygroup.

Check out Zachariah's tutorial to see it in action and see a few uses for this model: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBek73--ZOs

Fantastic work Jimbo! A very helpful model and the community will really appreciate this. =D
I think there is a problem with the materials; your defaults ones won't load!

What materials do the panels display? Nobody else has been having this issue.
There aren't even the valve texture files..

Do you have all TF2 content working in SFM? Can you load TF2 maps? All the textures used are stock TF2 assets that your base SFM should have unless you've messed with mounting and didn't mount TF2 content.
Nope, I didn't mess up; eveything else just works normally..
Ok, problem solved: somehow during the download the VTM where deleted (HOW??). Congratulations for the model, anywhere! It will be very useful!

I was thinking of something, what if you used something like this, but put animation references on it?

Say for example you wanted to do a walk cycle, so you used several still images, one in a different skin slot, each representing a different keyframe of the cycle. and you positioned it behind the model, and tried to match the positions of the model to the images on the panel behind it. each image might have notes saying use this for frame 5, use this for frame 16, etc.

Similar to what people do in flash by importing reference images that stay in the background.
