Too many attempts to add a phone number to this account

Hello. I use Steam Mobile app on my Android phone and I tried to set up steam mobile authenticator, however Steam app crashed several times while I was adding phone number, and now I get error that "too many phones associated" (everytime Steam app was crashing I was receiving codes by SMS, but after restarting steam app there was no field to enter codes). I waited several days, but nothing has changed - I still get same error :(

No, there is only field to enter phone number, and when I enter it, I get same error "too many attempts to add a phone number...".

Oh sorry, I misread it as 'too many phones attached to this account'. I'm not sure what the limitations are but do know there is a support FAQ with some answers, have you tried searching for that?
