User Error And Trading Escrow Issues
Most complaints I've seen and helped others fix here have been user error involving the Steam guard mobile auth and trading.

Things to remember
  • In order to avoid escrow you need to have had the Mobile Authenicator Enabled for 7 days and have Trade Confirmation turned on. To check the date you enabled the Mobile Authenicator go to your email and find the email named"Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator added" You can look at the received date an time of this email to determine whether or not you have had the Mobile Authenicator enabled for 7 days. To enable the Trade confirmation you go to your profile then press "Edit Profile" . You will now be brought to a page where you may edit your profile. Press the "My Privacy Settings" button on the right side. Now scroll down to where it says "Confirmation of Trades" and make sure that is enabled then press save changes.
  • If you undo the mobile authenicator at any time and then put it back on the "7 day cooldown" will restart.
  • Cancelling trades that are in escrow will also put you into a trade cooldown.

HELP!

It looks like your Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator is providing incorrect Steam Guard codes. This could be caused by an inaccurate clock or bad timezone settings on your device. If your time settings are correct, it could be that a different device has been set up to provide the Steam Guard codes for your account, which means the authenticator on this device is no longer valid.

Do you have it enabled on multiple devices?

Steam servers have been having issues the whole day. Might be out of your control at this point .

HELP PLEASE
I am a trader, and I need to accept trades. But when I open the Confirmation tab, it just stays there, there is no option to accept the trade. I tried to "re-trade" with my trader, but it still has the same thing. This happens to my Friends tab too. I cant do anything, and it just says "Chat is offline". Same thing as the Steam Guard tab. I can just see my code, but not my recovery code. Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Are you kidding me? This is a pinned post? The "confirmation of trades" option doesn't even exist on the "my privacy settings" page. This post, this app, and at this point your whole company is a joke Steam. You're damn lucky you don't have any legitimate competition or you'd all be laughed right out of a job onto the streets.

That's a rather complex way of saying that a thread is outdated because the continued development and improvements to Steam sometimes make certain information outdated.
