If any of you have noticed, the Dedicated server has been down for a week or so, and I haven't been as active.

A couple weeks ago, Plague upgraded his rig, which inspired me to build the rig I have been meaning to, so I started ordering the parts needed to do so, and when I put it together, I ran into a hiccup. Right now I am making do with Plague's old Motherboard and Processor, but the new graphics card and ram I have is being hindered by it, and the hard drive is a real turd. Anyway, FPS and overall performance is holding me back. The Extreme Motherboard I had for my new gaming rig currenly has a BIOS that doesn't support the CPU that I have for it, in order for me to upgrade the BIOS I needed a compatible CPU to boot the board, I ordered one, and should have it Wednesday the 4th. I hope it solves my issue. Anyway, With all that being said, the project freed up a worthy machine to upgrade the server.

The old server was just an old Dell XPS 400 that I had bought in 2006 and I just had kicking around. Dual Core Pentium D processor, 4gb ram, ect.

The new server is a quad core AMD Athlon with 6gb DDR3 ram, 1 TB Drive, ect. This was my second to last gaming rig and had set up for guests to use.

Anyway, The CSGO Dedicated server is back up and running, I just haven't gotten to installing the admin mods and stuff yet, therefor it has no custom title, and is damn near impossible to find on the community server list unless you're on my LAN or in the Daytona Beach Area. Correcting this will be my project for tomorrow night.

The TeamSpeak server is live however and able to be used, I added some sub channels to the CSGO Channel, Teams 1, 2 and 3. For if we ever end up having multiple teams from the group going on at once.

The next announcement will be hopefully tomorrow night (5/2/16, yes that's today, but I have been up all night crimping, running network cables and assigning static IP addresses, troubleshooting, ect.) to let you all know the CSGO DS is back up ,configured and able to be found on the "Browse Community Servers" option.

Metalus Gravis Practice Dedicated Server up and running!

Look for it under Play / Browse Community Servers / Internet

Server name is: >M.G< Metalus Gravis Practice Counter Strike: GO Dedicated Server

1: Game Type is Classic Competitive. Max players is 10, teams of 5...blah blah blah

2: Wins and losses do not count towards your legitimate Wins and losses. Leaving the match early doesn't pentalize you with a cooldown.

3: Default Map is set to Cobblestone, can be voted to another map after warm up. (I can change this if you all wish)

4: Bot kills obviously don't count towards StatTrak, Real players should however. Report issues to me via Steam chat.

5: In game Voice Chat should be enabled.

6: If the game receives an update, the server will however go offline until I update it and restart it. (This is so much more difficult than the Source server I hosted 9 years ago, or course, back then, there weren't updates being made.)

I will be working on getting the GUI interface so it's easier to admin the server (Change maps, Game modes, ect.)

I will be giving admin privileges to trusted group members. When that time comes I prefer to do it by steamID, not username, it's more secure that way. Please have Steam Guard enabled on your account prior to receiving access to admin privileges, I don't want to be accused of hacking your account in the event that your account gets hacked. Please do not make me have to remove privileges due to abuse of power on said server (Kicking/Banning players for no reason, setting players on fire, or killing them via admin menu, Ect.)

Like the Server name includes, this is a practice server, learning smokes, maps and other various things. Or, maybe you just want to warm up while waiting for others to get online.
