Server Etiquette
In over a year-and-a-half on these servers, I've noticed a few frequent behaviors I'd like to address. Some are already outlined in our rules and some are not. In this discussion I'd going to detail a few pesky things people do that are liable to annoy other players and catch a mod's eye. Hopefully it'll clear up a bit of confusion on these matters. This is a small wall of text so if you're looking for something please skim until you find it.

1. Pyrosharking-- This should be obvious by now, don't swim around and kill people with the Neon Annhialator. If you don't want to get in trouble for using an Annhialator for "self defense" then just don't equip one. 4/5 people who get kills with it are doing so aggresively and without provocation. Roleplay is fine, sitting in the water with the weapon is fine, but as soon as you attack there'll be trouble.

2. Micspam: Fanfics, annoying sounds (slurping, tapping, masturbating, microphone feedback, ect.), earrape, and other such annoyances should be kept off of the mic. Mods don't care if someone whines about their reading of a fanfic being muted, it's a pain for everyone to have to mute you and even worse to mute the people complaining about the first muting. Also, try to begin spamming during a quiet moment. Do not spam over somebody who is talking mid-sentence. We are not a micspam server and we won't bend the rules for you. If it's music, make it worth listening to.

3. Chat Spam: There are times when a funny chat-bind is funny, and there are times when the sheer number of Lennies drowns out any kind of meaningful communication. Chat and Voice are much the same in that they are a shared resource for the entire server; using more than your share for the purpose of annoyance will not be tolerated.

4. Trade: The aforementioned also applies to trade communication. We aren't a trade server and clogging up either communication channel with requests is grounds for a mute or gag.

5. Taunt Interruption: Players taunting with one another is one of the keystone activites here at Lazy's. Whether it's a Heavy Picnic, Lazy-gineer Party, Tauntkill War, or just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of tauntkills, either join in or leave them be.

6. Trolldiers: Please only attack other Trolldiers. Trolldiers are defined as a Soldier with a Rocket Jumper, Mantreads or BASE Jumper, and the Market Gardener. Soldiers not using this set are not considered Trolldiers. That being said, if you are a Soldier using one of these weapons, the Rocket Jumper in particular, be prepared to be mistaken for one once in a while. Just calmly explain you're not aggressive and they should leave you alone.

7. Freekiller-killing: I've seen a lot of this in recent times. People have begun to aggresively hunt down players who kill others. Trust me, I understand the basic logic of self-defense here. However, I encourage you to consider why they're attacking in the first place. Do they understand what the server's about? Does simply saying "wtf freekiller >.>" or "wow friendly server douchebag" mean much to a newer player? Please reach out to people who don't understand before resorting to violence. One of the marks of the TF2 community is its large number of new players; scaring off newcomers who don't understand doesn't help anyone in the long run.

8. Voting: Votekick abuse is bannable on our server. If you're going to make an appeal in our forums, please have a screenshot, console output, anything you can in the way of evidence ready to help make a case. If you see it happen to someone else, please help them out as getting a screenshot of a kick directed at yourself can be tricky.

9. Voice chat: Do not all talk over each other on the mic at once, nobody can understand what you're saying, and it's extremely rude.

Regarding "Wars":
Though the sillies are mainly friendly, events called "wars" do occur from time to time. Whether it's a smg sniper battle or a shotgun heavy fight, it's often easy for these wars to get out of hand. So, here are a few tips to prevent that from happening.

1. Try and restrict the war to a secluded place on the map. Avoid choke points, spawn areas, anywhere that has heavy traffic, or that would prevent other players from accessing the rest of the map. Also, do not take up half the map. Players who are not involved in the war should not have to be restricted to a small portion of the map in order to prevent themselves from being killed.

2. Try to contact a member of staff before beginning a war. Should the war get out of hand, the staff member should be able to handle it.

3. If players who are not involved in the war are complaining about being killed by the war participants, attempt to stop the war. If you cannot stop the war, or prevent players who are not involved from being killed, contact a staff member.

4. If you notice players who are participating in the war purposely attacking and killing players who are not involved, ask them to stop. If they refuse or ignore your requests, attempt to contact a staff member.

If you have questions about these or other server behaviors, feel free to inquire.

I assume porn sprays are also bannable

Had Octavio pin this because important.

@Mo: Yes, porn sprays are not allowed. However, some mods (such as myself) can't actually see sprays anymore. :\ So there's no way for us to reliably enforce this unless we're told who's spray it is.

i meant that some people kill other by taunts, when these other people don't participate on taunt wars, and this is a very important point on taunt wars/duels

My advice would be to steer clear of taunt wars if you're not involved.

Do admins have to comply to this, because an admin was playing music extremely loud in the game.

I think some map specific etiquette would be a good idea i.e. don't block the elevators in villains city and don't shoot blus looking out of the blu spawn window in big city.

Not a bad idea! If you have a few suggestions for map-specific rules I might make a separate thread for them.

Thanks!

Here are some that I think'd be good:

Bigcity
1. Don't shoot people looking out of their spawn window/s!
2. Not every sniper is looking for a fight!
3. Don't knock people of off the edge of anything.

Villains_City (both versions)
1. Don't block or giltch the elevators.
2. Check the tram before teleporting it to ensure it's not in transit.
3. The boxing area is melee only, please respect that.
4. The boxing area will have people 1v1ing each other, please don't interfer with them.

Treehouse
1. People will want to destroy the trees in Blu's spawn area.
Join them, help them or leave them be.
2. If someone is destroying Blu's trees and you wander into their line of fire, then you
have no one to blame but your self if you die.

Mario_Kart (all versions)
1. Don't block the blimp's entrance!
2. Don't kill people over the powerups!
3. There's no world 3-1, please don't ask about it.

Woodland
1. The team native to the house you're in has right of way.

One peice of non-map specific etiquette i'd suggest is:
Some players want to be left alone, please respect that.
