I did not mean for the Templar to be such a scare too these un-faithful Protestants, but the Templar will not be a rebellion and needs the approval of the Pope and Micheal to be formed. The order can not function independently, so If it declares war independently, it would be a rouge act.

The Templar order is simply a more elite version of the Knights of Malta who act as a powerful first strike force agianst and attack on Christendom.

Agian, I have given up on the idea of a crusade because of the lack of faith that plagues this tier.

My idea does not in any way represent a way to split with the church, the best way I could do that would be by following Martin Luther to civil war.
