Hebrews 12
7 It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness. 11 All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

Isaiah 26
16 O Lord, in distress they sought you;
they poured out a whispered prayer
when your discipline was upon them.
17 Like a pregnant woman
who writhes and cries out in her pangs
when she is near to giving birth,
so were we because of you, O Lord;

Matthew 24

Matthew 5
19 Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 “For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus is literally telling you to be a hearer and a doer. the "righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees" is believing/practicing/teaching the commands of God and Jesus. The saints are those who keep the commands of God and their faith in Jesus

Revelation 14
12 Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

1 Corinthians 7
19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is the keeping of the commandments of God.
