I've found a cheaper server provider by the name of ClanSlots, and have set up a Counter-Strike: Source server with them for at least a month, and hopefully longer depending on popularity.

According to the provider, I can also switch the server around between any of these games: Counter-strike Source, Counter-Strike 1.6, Call Of Duty 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2, Call Of Duty: UO, MineCraft and Garry's Mod.

This is the address for the official Interlopers Gentlemen's Club TF2 server. Exciting times, eh? I'm still setting it up, but feel free to give me a list of maps you'd like to see on it.

I've set up a new poll asking people to vote on whether they would like to have an Interlopers server for TF2, and if they'd be willing to contribute some money towards the upkeep. Please vote, as it'll give me a more accurate idea of how likely it is we'll get to shoot each other in the privacy of our own server.

I'm not sure why it took me so long to remember to do this, but I've changed the group permissions so that any member can post a group event.

This way, if you're bored and want a quick, unplanned game of anything you can set up an event here and hopefully get a few others to play.

I've set up a Flickr account for people to add their own screenshots of games, if anyone wants to. Else, I'll just use it as a place to keep the screenshots I take for people to look at. The url is at the bottom of this post. If anyone wants to add screenshots, the Username is interlopersgentlemensclub and the password is AllHailBlink. Feel free to add stuff each week, but if I get a load of people uploading Goatse pictures I'll make it so only people I trust can log in.

During the game, people raised the idea that we play TF2 each week, rather than the current system of voting for the game in the days leading up to each event. What do you think? Vote in the poll I've created in the lopers thread again. Obviously we could still organise games of a specific mod/whatever if there's enough demand.

If we decide that we want to play TF2 regularly, the possibility of getting our own server returns. I wouldn't be able to foot the entire bill, but would people be willing to put in a couple of quid a month to keep it going?
