Welcome To Iris Gaming Hub

Iris Gaming is a different type of community than most. Each of our servers is owned by a member of the community. Community has always been the focus of Iris and we attempted a model that gave the users more say by voting a group of representative. After experiencing the result and processing the feedback we want to expand on this model and give more power to the players.

Iris Gaming and the council will be stepping back from controlling the individual servers and letting the server owners take charge. Iris Gaming is becoming Iris Hub, a community of affiliated servers. This means anyone can now get a server and host it in the Iris Community. Servers will be staffed individually, meaning a ton more staff positions and it’s no longer a requirement to play on other servers in order to get higher ranks. With more rank slots, inactivity won’t be as much of a worry as it has been. We will also be including more games to our community with extra forum space and events for non-Gmod and non-hosted games like Minecraft, DayZ and more.

We don’t want players to feel obligated to come on the servers when they don’t want to just to maintain activity. It causes us to resent the games we like because we are forced to play it, it becomes more work than fun.

We want to make more opportunities for our members to get achieve rank and get promoted.

We want our members to be able to play any game they like with friends without becoming inactive on Gmod servers.

We want to give the opportunity for members to purchase and run their own servers how they like.

We want you to join us on our new site designed with a fresh start and a more community based format.

FPG to merge with IRIS!

In a surprise turn of events, after a brief rivalry and even briefer truce, FPG (FastPacedGaming) will be merging its servers with Iris Gaming!

What this means for you:

1. We will be gaining two new servers! Prophunt and Deathrun will soon be operational and ready for your enjoyment.

2. You will see a few new faces playing on the servers.

3. We need more staff!! But mostly for the new servers. If you are known or higher you can apply for ranks on the Iris Gaming Enjin forums where you will have to select which server you will be performing your mod or admin duties on. Ranks will carry across servers but if you are not active enough on the server you applied for you will be demoted.
