Forum to Organise Multiplayer Games for HoI4

Games should be played until the eventual demise or rise of a player's nation.

Playing a game of Hearts of Iron with a good amount of players is extremely fun which I am sure we all agree as we are here to play. What is not fun for anyone is when the amount of players dwindle away to a mere handful. In cases of people being eliminated, this is just the natural course. However early quitting and people abandoning games for whatever reason's ruin the game for all involved. They could be you're ally. They could be you're foe. Either way the game will likely be a little less fun.

From now on, moderators will be notified if players leave or refuse to turn up to another scheduled session. Likewise if players quit out mid-session. The reasons for this is to promote enjoyable games for everyone here. If people have genuine reasons that they can't attend a session, if the host is notified and a rough timeline is given then there will be no issue with this. Only if this is abused and patterns emerge will this ever be disputed. Additionally if a player wishes to leave early, the host and other players may vote to allow them to leave, majority ruling. This is in place so that if a player is made into a vassal or left with a single province they are not required to play in a game they have no ability to influence.

Players who have abandoned games, or quit early, after being notified to moderators will be placed on a list to monitor. If the same case happens again, or persists, they will be put on game bans. And if the issue still persists they will be removed and disallowed from partaking in sessions within this group.

These changes are in the spirit of keeping games, active, fun and engaging. And to encourage people to play on even in the dire situations. If anyone has any suggestions or issues with this please feel free to comment, or message myself and any of the moderators directly.
