"Forgotten Emerald" - DoW2: Retribution Last Stand Mod

Hello and welcome to the first and only official group of "Forgotten Emerald" - the mod that finaly brings something really new to the Last Stand in DoW2: Retribution.

The mod is currently in Open Beta. But you can help us whether you are a tester or a modder - any help is welcome.

- Heroes are being overhauled.
- New Wargear.

- Existing Wargear and Abilities are being balanced with new ones and between each oher.
- Redundant or Useless Wargear and Abilities are being ether Re-rolled, Balanced or Removed.
- Enemy waves are changed in order to bring more interest to the existing gameplay.

Steam Accounts Hacked

Hello fellow denizens of the Warhammer Universe, this announcement is for those who have not yet noticed the recent surge of attacks from the Dark Mechanicus ,aka scammers and hackers, on the Steam platform. While we wait for those of the Ommnissiah's will to fix this problem, we will be on the watch for activity such as strange links, messages of having a ban placed on your person, we here at FE are doing all we can to keep this from spreading like a Plague of Nurgle. Should anyone receive such messages, please immediately block all vox frequencies with said person, go to their profile to report them as hacked, and then either here or on discord,inform a staff member so we can push out any information on these corrupted fools. As always, we hope you have fun and fight to your heart's content. As of right now, the tester known as Cookie on Discord has had his account hacked. As things progress, we will ofc update all here.

February 2020 Patch

Good time of day to all of you!

Today, a more-than-a-year long wait finally ends, and you finally get something new to play with.

Here are some highlights of the patch:

Tau 2.0
Disturbance24 had done some amazing work on tau, the result now is a much more fleshed out, balanced character for all tau-lovers out there.
Featuring invisibilty, double gundrones, and even more anti-vehicle power - you get to build exactly the armored suit you want.
There are limitations, of course (namely, the power/load system) - but it is the way of a fire caste warrior to overcome them and, ultimately, achieve victory (or wave 20, whichever applies to you)

Tau weapon rebalance:
Offensive options (mostly) had been moved to the primary weapon slot - while offhand slot modifies the suit to deal more damage (ATS, twin-linked), defend the wearer (shields) or bring additional utility (missile pods)

Commander item:
Drones are now in the accessory slot and are no longer mandatory, new commander slot items will function similarly to other class commander items in terms of role.

Space Marine 2.5
Rebalanced weapons:
All-around tweaked values and effects.
May no wargear be left in the dust, never to be picked up and brought into battle.

Accessory/commander slots:
Increased viability for lesser used wargears, especially melee-oriented wargear.

Lord General 2.5
The previous updates kind of left the lord general and his formidable army of minions on the back foot, so the energy economy and squads/retinue for the lord general had been revisited.

Summon less. Reinforce more:
Costs and cooldowns on your squads are higher now, which is counteracted by the much more reliable reinforcement mechanic now.
Previously it had been finicky, but now it has been fixed good and proper.

Retinue Officer abilities:
The officer that you bring in your retinue now has an active ability (without losing the old passive troop buff).
May the lines hold, in the name of the Emperor!

Maps -
Space Hulk : Improvement in map flow and turret performance.

Enemies rebalenced:
Quite a few DPS values, health and armor ratings have changed.
Boss units generally have auras that either harm the players or buff the enemy units and, therefore, should be considered priority targets for elimination rather than simply tanky annoyance.

Bosses without aura can be expected to be very dangerous directly.
The baneblade WILL one-shot.
