Hey Guys,

Sorry I won't be able to play for a bit due to a few problems getting internet at home - ask orbit/plow if u need to know.

Basically since many of you haven't played HL before i've written down your main roles for you (or what I thought they're meant to be):
- I'm happy to accept any thoughts/feedback you think is necessary
- Communication is the key here guys

Main Roles:
Scout:
• Flank + put pressure on med/demo/sniper if you can
• Pick off people who overextend
• Keep their scout under control (ensure they don’t flank us – or if they do call it so we know where they are)

Pyro:
• Stay with main combo usually
• Cycle b/w combo and sentry nest and spy check regularly
• Push back uber if they come  use terrain to your advantage (ie, push down slope if there is one/off cliff/etc)
• If uber comes in – aim to push the demo/pyro and heavy out of the way – other classes aren’t as problematic)
• Don’t push out too far (you’re our main uber blocker so we need you around)

Spy:
• Flank Enemy (usual stuff)
• Pressure med/heavy/demo/sniper/engie [those are your main targets]
• Provide general distraction
• Make calls since you’re near them you should be able to see what’s going on
• If we’re attacking, be on call for a fast sap as we go into their sentry nest

Heavy:
• Stay with med at all times
• Protect med at all costs
• Physically block pushes/ubers (position yourself in front of the sentry, etc if necessary so you take the hit and not the engie)
• Stay out of sniper range at all costs
• Be wary of spies (but pyro should be nearby and SHOULD be spy checking)

Solly:
• More of a roamer
• Put spam into main combo
• Try bombing their med to pop early uber  even if you die, you pressured them into an early uber and essential waste it so you’re doing your role
• Be aware of sniper lines and play accordingly
• Try to keep their solly from bombing us

Engie: [possible uber target if we’re down players]
• Know your set up spots
• People who usually suicide (provides metal for the engie to setup initially):
o Pyro, scout, solly, spy/sniper [must suicide before the 0:41 mark so you can make it back in time] – THIS IS ESSENTIAL
• Be wary of sniper in open positions (particularly on upward)
o Work with our sniper so you know the location of their sniper and play accordingly
• Call if you need help  Pyro should be helping you primarily so pyro should be nearby to help!


Med:
• General Heals
• Stay with heavy at all times (demo/solly/pyro will generally be close for top ups)
• Work with scout for uber building (using the self damage weapon)
• Be wary of spies
• Stay out of sniper range – you shouldn’t be around this area/exposed
• Make calls as you see them
• Work on Multi Ubers  Your uber SHOULD go to (in order of importance) pyro, heavy, demo (heavy comes before pyro if we’re attacking)

Sniper:
• Keep their sniper down at all costs
o Makes it much easier for us to control map
• Make priority picks – MED, Heavy, demo
• Make calls if you can since you can see most of the map
• Be wary of spies
• Feel free to change up your position to where you’re comfortable

Demo:
• General spam/choke point blocker
• Set traps and pipe spam into main combo/sniper region if possible (Without going too far out)
• Try not to overextend
• Stay near the med ready for uber pushes/blocks
• Basically put lots of damage out onto their combo and if possible make them pop uber early


NOTE: Med --> indicates an uber target priority

Also - first game for us is on pl_Upward! So get accustomed to the map if you've never played it. Play around a bit yourself to find positions you think might be good. I've got a good idea of what i want, but it's a bit hard to describe in words :\ Hopefully i can get on sometime this week to explain stuff.
