FED Fortress

Francis E Dec Fortress, FED Fortress to be short not to be mistaken with other FEDs such as those controlled by the Gangster Computer God who works in the American government!

FEDFortress is sort of a casual- kind of server, meaning that our server plays like a casual server. But includes many new features to enrich the gameplay and make the wackiness of TF2 cranked up to 11.

The bots running on FEDFortress are massively upgraded. They work in game modes that were previously unsupported and they have had various improvements to make them play more like human players.

Server Update Announcement & Maintance & Migration Announcement!
  • Migrations are complete. We will stop changing hosts for the foreseeable future. Sorry for any inconveniences this has caused in the last 5 months.
  • On Tuesdays between 2:45PM to 4:45 console messages will be broadcasted every 15 minutes to remind players that Steam maintenance may affect their game.
  • At the start of Friday in each Time Zone there will be an announcement for Baller Friday!
  • The range at which TFbots will search for health and ammo pickups have been doubled.
  • TFbots now will tend to be slightly more disbersed when defending an objective.

    Server 1:
  • The competency of TFBots have been restored to how they where pre-migration.
  • The default bot count for the following maps has been changed to 22: cp_foundary, pl_enclosure, koth_suijin
  • The default bot count for the following maps has been changed to 14: ctf_turbine, cp_powerhouse, cp_process_final, cp_junction, koth_viaduct, cp_cloak
  • Added Maps from the Summer 2024 Update to the map rotation:
  • Removed Mannpower maps due to lack of support and stability issues at this time.
  • Removed the following maps have been removed: cp_aqua, ctf_foundry, ctf_gorge, plr_whalerace, koth_badmoonz, cp_snowplow, arena_suijin, arena_landfall, arena_chess
  • The default map was changed from Dustbowl to Upward.
  • Removed all shotguns from the Demoman
  • Removed the Engineer's ability to equip Scatterguns
  • Added Short Fuze Grenades for the Demoman (ST) they can be used on the Grenade Launcher or Iron Bomber.
  • Restored the Medic's ability to steal uber and needle jump.
  • Smoke Shells have been reworked to have 2.5x the blast radius, but 90% less damage, but 50% on burning players and sentries. They also mark players for death and deal mini-crits on burning players.
  • The Flare Gun can now equip smoke shells.


    Server 2:
  • Still offline for now.
  • Plans are in place to make Server 2 use RCBOT2 to add proper bot support for VSH, Zombies, Control the Keep, Medival Mode, PASS Time and Arena.

    Jason Grant Experience:
  • Limited bot support has been added, the bots kind of work but are pretty dumb still. Bots are given full crits to compensate for their bad AI, this is just temporary.
  • All hitscan weapons now can get headshots.
  • Changed the bot quota to 4. When the server only has one player on it, this makes finding the bots slightly easier.
  • Maps now have limited bot support.
  • Updated the tags to be consistent with server 1, and include quake, gungame, and deathmatch
  • Deathmatch maps have been temporarily removed from the server until I can resolve the issue.
  • TFBots will actively search for health packs if their health is not at 150. This has the upside of now allowing them to roam around the map and not just stand still.
  • Added Hold The Flag game modes, they are still not fully supporting bots just yet.
  • Added gg_itemtest, gg_dust2.

    Day of Defeat Server:
  • Added the Medic Class - Credit to StrontiumDog
  • The Rocket Class can place C4 - Credit to StrontiumDog

    Bug Fixes - Quality of Life Changes:
    FEDFortress 1:
  • Removed Test Weapons from CWX menus.
  • Removed Weapons with issues, including: China Lake, M16, MAT-49, Walther P38, Pellet Gun, Old Darwin's
  • Danger Shield, Plasma Rifle, Thompson SMG.
  • Removed Ammo Types: AP Slugs (just too OP), 000 Buck (except on FaN and Soda Popper)
  • Moved the Fire Retardant Suit to the Sapper Slot.
  • Renamed Super Shotgun on heavy to KS-23 (Its back!)


    Jason Grant Experience:
  • Fixed an issue causing the servers max player count to display 17 instead of 18.
