With just 3 days to go until the first game, I guess it's time to nail the few rules that are needed down.

No-Shows


If there's a reasonable chance you're not gonna make it, we (myself, Danny or Root) need to know as far in advance as possible, so that we can get replacements.

If we get to the time that the game was supposed to be played and you don't show up, it will be up to the other team to decide what to do. The choices are to play 2v2, play 3v2 or postpone the match. Your team may decide to forfeit instead of playing.

If a player d/c's during a match, again, the choice of whether to wait or press on will fall to the opposition. If you d/c, your priority is to get reconnected and back in the game as soon as possible.

Weapons

Whatever you want, whatever you like. Everything goes. You can change between weapons (between the axetinguisher, the normal axe and the homewrecker for example) at any time.

Classes


Of per class, per team (sniper, pyro, medic is OK. Sniper, sniper, medic is not).
Agree between yourselves who is going to play as what before you leave spawn, because once you exit spawn for the first time, you're playing as that class until the map changes. The admin will make a note of who's playing as what class, so any sneaky class switches will get /slay'd.

Game layout


We'll be playing a maximum of 5 rounds on 3 maps. The game will be:
2 rounds on a CTF map
2 rounds on a CP map
1 round on a KOTH map
PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS BEST OF 5 - if the same team wins both CTF rounds and then the first CP round, they have won the match. If players want to play the remaining rounds for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles, they can do so.

In the event of a stalemate, the round win will go to the team with the most players with MVP. To get MVP, you have to be one of the three top scoring players of the last round, so every headshot, backstab, ubercharge and cap is crucial.

Scripts, skins, exploits etc.


Basically the normal rules apply for Escapist gameplay (don't be a ♥♥♥♥). You know the difference between a rocket-jump script and an auto-trigger script, but if you have any doubt that we might kick off about a script, please ask before using it.

Skins- if you want to use them, feel free.

General crap


Games should last no more than an hour, an hour and a half tops (and that's assuming all 5 rounds are played).

During this time, admin will be booting anyone who isn't scheduled to play. We're trying to get STV up and running so that you can watch, however all matches will be uploaded here as soon as possible. This does mean, however, that if Danny was to show up named "Cpt Underpants", he would get booted. You all have names that you use regularly, please use them (at least until you get in-game). Names like Skizle/skizlebits or hnd03/hopeneverdies (similar to the original name) are OK.

Lastly, I'd just like to remind people that at the end of this competition is a free game up to the value of £10. One game/pack only, up to the value of £10. You will have to take it soon after the final, I've spoken to Root and Danny and none of us like the idea of keeping credit until there's a sale or something. If you win, there will be more discussion about this.
