Rules For Draconis Servers:

1. Do not kill active players. If a player is not in the spawn area of his team (meaning the red or blue stripe respectively) then you cannot kill them. Taunt and revenge kills are also not allowed. Killing is only allowed when you are killing bots, idle players that are in the spawn, or if you are helping a player with an achievement.

2. Do not air blast people or scorch shot people. Air blasting/scorch shotting a player brings nothing tangible to the game and is used in trolling purposes in an achievement server. We have no time to deal with ignorant buffoons trying to troll us. So don't air blast.

3. Don't be an ass. Admins have to put up with enough noobs in the server rulebreaking as it is. They don't need some asshole coming in and acting like a dick on top of all their other responsibilities.

4. Don't spam your mic. Just don't do it. Why even waste our time?

5. No Inappropriate sprays. This means no porn sprays of any kind. We have kids that come on our server that can be very young so just don't do it.

6. Work together to get stuff done. (Collaboration) If someone needs help with an achievement and you aren't busy then help them out. Remember you were all noobs at one point trying to get the same achievements.

7. Use common sense. This one is self-exlanatory.

General Info:

Draconis servers is a friendly place available to all players, old and new alike. It is full of nice players and admins, both of which can help you with achievements if they want to. Many people who come onto the server like to relax and idle (a lot). We have two servers: server #1 (75.63.111.163:27015) is for getting achievements and idling. Server #2 (75.63.111.163:27016) is for trading and idling, but you can trade/get achievements/idle on both of the servers. Our servers are online 24/7 and so is our website, located at http://draconis-servers.proboards.com/, this has more information on the server and is our forum so you can post what you like and dislike about the server and a lot more! Also, you can apply for admin, but don't brag on about it, this will only make the admin mad and deny your app. Applying for admin on your first day will get you nowhere; no one will you know you well enough to accept it. In your application try to include good things about yourself, development skills would come in handy so maybe put a section about what skills you have. Breaking the rules will result in a kick or ban so you will only be hurting yourself.

The stream's over, folks! I'm about to push RC19_a1 to testing phase, so that's all for the Mapwork Mondays for now! Cheers to everyone who's come to the stream, past and present.

This may very well be the last Mapwork Monday stream for a while, as most of the issues I've found I've corrected.

Status of map work

Hey everyone, map dev here. I've started work on a bugfix build of RC19, and am currently in the "tweak what doesn't work" phase. Some things have been removed, some edited, some moved. An example is the room under the observation deck has had access to it revoked for now until I can think of what I'd like to do with it.

I'm sorry I haven't been up-to-date with some of the issues, I've been a tad busy in real life (that excuse again!) and surprisingly few issues have been reported to me. I've gotten one suggestion that I've implemented as well - if you know a way to fix or improve the map, there may not be a better time for it than now.[draconis-servers.proboards.com]

Mapwork Mondays

In an effort to try to get map work back going again, I'm going to start trying a regular thing. Mapwork Mondays is what it's called until I can think of a better, day-neutral title. It can be found at https://www.picarto.tv/live/channel.php?watch=EvilJackCarver - bear in mind I may or may not be part of a multi-stream (this is pre-typed!) and you may or may not have chat directed to the other streamers in the chatbox.

I plan to run it in two sessions - session one starting about 15 to 20 minutes from me posting this (this one won't be on as long), and session two to start sometime later in the evening after I come back from dinner and shower - this will be the longer one. (I'll post a separate announcement for then.)

I'll be running the chat on a separate computer, and I'll be talking through that for today - not comfortable enough right now with talking. This will hopefully give some insight into what all goes on during my mapwork sessions.
