Tips and Tricks!!!

Throughout playing CS:GO i have learned so much about tweaks and console commands to help make the gameplay better and more fluent. I suggest going to


C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg

in your file explorer in Windows and making a copy of your "controller" CFG file and then pasting it to your desktop. Then delete everything in that folder and add the below commands you like into that folder and then rename the "controller" file to "autoexec". Once you have renamed the file to "autoexec" and added the commands you want from the list below, add the file back to


C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg


Once you have done that, go to "Games" at the top of your Steam program and then right click on "Counter strike" and then select "launch options". Once you have done that past this into your launch options,

-exec autoexec

This will enable the commands you have entered every time you start up the game.

• Jump Throw Bind
  
  alias +jumpthrow "+jump;-attack"
  alias -jumpthrow "-jump"
  bind "Key to bind" +jumpthrow
  
  This will allow you to throw perfect smokes from across the map, its only not allowed in ESEA Pro League so we can use it in league

  • Instantly drop C4 bind
    
    bind "Key to bind" "use weapon_c4; drop";
  With this bind, you can press the key you have chosen to bind with this command and it will drop the C4 no matter what is in your hands. This is the fastest and most effecient way to drop the bomb to someone.

  • Toggle Game Instrcutor to find bomb in smoke
    
    bindtoggle "Key to bind" "gameinstructor_enable";
  With this bind, when the key you have chosen to bind for this commmand is pressed, the game instrcutor will pop up and give you an on screen icon above where the bomb is planted. This icon will even show up in smoke, so when you may need to find the bomb in a smoke, when you press that key it will show the icon to easily find the bomb location in the smoke.

  • Throw flashbangs quickly in succession
    
    bind "Key to bind" "use weapon_knife; use weapon_flashbang";
  With this bind you will be able to throw flashbangs incredibly fast. All pro teams use this bind because it allows you to throw the flashbangs fast for strats. In order for this to work, you will need to pull out your flashbang and throw the first flashbang, then press the key you chose to bind for this command and it will pull out the flashbang quickly allowing you to throw a second flashbang quickly after the first.

  • Damage given to enemies displayed on screen after death
    
    developer "1";
    con_filter_text "Damage";
    con_filter_text_out "Player:";
    con_filter_enable "2";
  With this command, the game will display the damage given to enemies in the top left corner of your screen. This makes it very easy to tell your teammates how hurt an enemy is. This also allows you to know how much damage you have given to enemies in that round very easily.

  • Useful demo watching binds for fast fowarding and stopping demos
    
    alias +ff2 "demo_timescale 6"
    alias +sf2 "demo_timescale .2"
    alias -ff2 "demo_timescale 1"
    alias -sf2 "demo_timescale 1"
    
    bind "uparrow" "+ff2"
    bind "downarrow" "+sf2"
    bind "rshift" "demo_togglepause"
  With these commands, you will be able to use the up arrow to fast foward through a demo, the down arrow to slow down the demo, and the right shift key to pause and play the demo. These commands are incredibly useful to making your demo watching needed much easier and more fluent.

  This bind will make it to where when you press the key you bound for this it will make lines across your entire screen to make it easy to line up for certain smokes. This will help with consistency on certain smokes needed for strats that are very important to land perfectly.
