Take the ultra realism of the Arma II combat simulator, add in a virus derived zombie apocalypse in a large sandbox environment, and you have DayZ.

It's difficult enough surviving a countryside full of virus infected zombies, scrounging for your next drink before you die of thirst or bit of food before you die of hunger, as well as precious weapons and ammunition to hunt and defend yourself with; but add in bandits -- murdering players who would rather shoot on sight and loot your body instead of joining together and you have a real challenge on your hands.
