The title describes it all
for example, when you click that pause button while compiling, crowbar waits for current studiomdl instance to finish and instead of instantly running the next instance of studiomdl for the next model, it waits for the user to click "unpause", same with decompilation

Issues:
Crowbar doesn't put brackets for keyvalues section on sequences, which results in studiomdl incorrectly parsing them upon recompilation

Expected:
A properly working model (obv after fixing a ton of SMDs that cause overflow)

First thing that caught my attention is that player model ikchain and animation model ikchain have different settings for some reason, tho it seems that it doesnt really affect anything if I standardize them

there's a poseparameter that is supposed to turn the cylinder according to how much ammo left but it doesnt work after recompiling a decompiled version

UPD: I found a way to fix this, the problem is that the sequence's "posecycle" has a zero instead of a proper poseparam name, thats why it was showing up a 2nd poseparam in hlmv and it didn't work

not really, CSGO just handles this whole thing a little bit differently from what I understand
I've just finished migrating the code onto my mod, you can take a look at it:

okay, after some other testing I concluded that CS:GO just interprets this parameter differently, because I've put CS:GO models straight to my mod without recompiling and I saw exactly the same problem, then I tried recompiling decompiled animset_ct.mdl but for CS:GO and it worked perfectly there, so its not a crowbar problem, but still it would be nice to find some kind of solution to this problem for older engine branches

A little update:
changing blendlayer numbers from 0 0 1 0 to 0 1 1 1 works correctly, BUT with a problem: when poseparameter gets to exactly 1.0 value, the model snaps to its t-pose back like if poseparameter were set to zero
you can work around that by limitting poseparameter range from 0-1 to 0-0.99, but you can understand that it isn't that clever

Already on my ToDo list as a generic "combine anim SMDs". I'll add your specific ideas to combine identical anim SMDs and anim SMDs that are blended in a sequence.

didn't notice that, but I assume having more direct ideas should be more helpful :)

After recompiling most of the player anim mdls, you have to manually combine multiple smds in it to make it compile back because of smd limit, it's very annoying and time-consuming so I suggest adding an option to make crowbar combine identical sequences in one smd instead of making multiple identical smds and an option to make crowbar combine multiple aim-like sequences into one smd (like this ones):
