How to change ".SMD" format to ".MDL" format with Crowbar 0.27? / How to recompile a weapon/hat?
Hi all friends. Sorry for my bad English.

I have done several weapons with Blender for TF2, textures etc. And I exported to ".SMD" format. According to the tutorial says I'm following step by step:

HellJumper's NEW TF2 Modeling Tutorial for the Steam Workshop (Beta Import)
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=155101824

The problem is that the tutorial does not specify how to change the ".SMD" format to ".MDL" format using "Crowbar Tool".

I need to change format ".MSD" to ".MDL" to see my items in "test item" and to upload my items to the Workshop of TF2.

I know I need to edit the ".qc" file, but do not know which lines. I do not know if it is equal to a hat or a melee weapon. I do not know where it should be located the ".qc"

file. Neither do I know if I have to rename it.

If for example I made a melee weapon for the Spy, and I want to be like the melee weapon "eternal reward" the spy, I have to edit the "c_eternal_reward.qc". but I do not know how.

I took several months without being able to solve this problem. This problem is all that remains for me to finish my weapons for TF2. In recent months I have searched all over the Internet, all over youtube, I asked the official forum of steam, also in the official forum TF2 modeling. I have read all possible internet guide, and I could not find any step by step guide.

Please Does anyone know any step by step how to change the format ".SMD" to ".MDL" format guide? A video or a tutorial or anything.

I use Crowbar 0.27

I would be very grateful if you could help me.

Thank you in advance for your time and effort.

Are you looking to just replace an existing model or create a new weapon?

Hi friend.

I'm looking to create a new weapon for the workshop TF2.

You would need to create a QC file to define the parameters of the model, such as it's bodygroups, skins, what SMD files to use, etc.
From there, Crowbar takes this QC and the necessary SMD files and compiles them into an MDL with it's associated other files for use in the Source Engine.
