how?
The Game setup section just asks you to browse your selected game's folders and select specific files like HLMV and StudioMDL you can usually just find these in the Bin folder of any source game.
[Set up games] [Download] [Unpack] [Preview] [Decompile] [Compile]
Garry's Mod Add
Game Setup
Name: Garry's Mod
Engine: Source
Executable: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\HL2.exe Browse
Executable Options: Clear
Gameinfo.txt: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\bin\gameinfo.txt Browse
Model Compiler: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\bin\studiomdl.exe Browse
Model Viewer: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\bin\hlmv.exe Browse
Mapping Tool: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\bin\hammer.exe Browse
Packing Tool: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\bin\gmad.exe Browse
Below these you have to select the steam.exe in whatever drive it is in usually in the program files, here's mine.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe Browse
Basically in the “set up games” section ,browse to the location given on screen
For example (setting it up for l4d2. I got it working for garrys mod but the process should be the same)
Model compiler : <library1>\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\bin\studiomdl.exe
Click on browse and search for that path
The tab should now look like
Model compiler : <library1>\Left 4 Dead 2\bin\studiomdl.exe
Thanks kerosenn for bringing focus on what i needed to do
This basically tells crowbar where to start extracting/compiling files and stuff
(sorry it it's wrong. This is just my basic understanding of this)
not that hard to learn.
and what is it due to?
since i never bothered to elaborate on this:
open crowbar
first tab, set up games
pick a game
you see all of that stuff? the directory line for the executable, game info txt, etc. make sure thats all hooked up right.
that should do it.
