Civilization II Multiplayer Gold Edition Fanatics

Civilization II Multiplayer Gold Edition Fanatics is a group of international fans of the all time classic Civilization II Multiplayer. Some even consider it to be the best Civilization version ever to be released.

The group's purpose is to bring together Civilization II Multiplayer fans from all over the world, so they can easily connect, set up multiplayer games, share strategies, solve technical issues or just talk about their shared interest.

This group was founded especially after the dream came true and FoxAhead ( http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197996224156 and https://forums.civfanatics.com/members/foxahead.305220/ ), a whole-hearted Civ II Multiplayer fan, finally programmed a special launcher for Civ II MGE, that makes multiplayer sessions of it even work under Windows 8 and 10 (cf. https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/civilization-ii-mge-user-interface-additions-civ2uia.623515/ ).

To finally play Civ II Multiplayer with us all you need are three things:

1. The abandoned version of Civ II MGE, availble for free here: http://gamesnostalgia.com/en/game/sid-meiers-civilization-ii

2. FoxAhead's awesome Civ II MGE launcher: https://github.com/FoxAhead/Civ2-UI-Additions/releases/

3. A working VPN-client. We usually use Evolve, LogMeIn Hamachi, Tunngle or Radmin VPN.
