As WarPigeon stated, I have no tangible proof to offer, only personal experiences, and there are many like me. ;)
He also changed my heart when i asked Him if He was real or not. I felt a peace and a love that i NEVER felt before. So I KNOW He is real! 1000000%
p.s. i did not grow up in a christian home or family.
When these moments happen it's like a fog lifts from me and I can see clearly. Everything I'm worried about and focused on just falls away and it's almost like I can see (mentally) Jesus. In these moments the things of the world just don't seem that important anymore and Jesus is all I want.
As others have already said, creation itself testifies to the existence of the Creator. I won’t delve deeply into metaphysics, but a structured universe cannot exist on its own. More and more scientists in advanced fields are beginning to acknowledge that there must be a God behind the universe. It seems like only some edgy teens will remain atheists in the future.
Many historical events and prophecies from the Bible are miraculous and cannot simply be dismissed as coincidences. Etc.
I am a firm believer in the idea that only through extreme stress in one's circumstances can one's belief system be truly changed. For example, a person who loses someone they love may begin to rail against God and begin to lose faith in Him, usually crying, "How could a loving God allow this person to die?" Then there are those who turn to Him as their last hope in their darkest hour. The former become devout atheists, while the latter become devout followers of Him.
That was how it was for me atleast. My testimony is fairly simple, I felt out for Him and I found Him. So, relatively speaking, my answer to your question is feeling. Ultimately, you have to feel out for Him by yourself. And I pray you do find Him, it is a treasure beyond compare.
