Amish self defense
Sorry if this question feels a bit weird but if a serial killer decided to invade an Amish home and start murdering a family will they just run or turn the other cheek as it was mentioned in an article about Wisconsin vs Yoder

Also do they call the police on you(assuming they have cellphones) if you start clicking pics of them with your camera or worse, a selfie with them in view

Good question. I don't know much about the Amish tbh.

I think in some counties police/sheriffs will write tickets for people taking photos of Amish, maybe arrest? But many Amish do not carry cell phones due to their beliefs. So it comes down to police being there to enforce it.
However, technology - like cell phones, TV, radios, etc. - is becoming more common and accepted in Amish communities, just not all. Depends on the community. Some are very old-school (traditional), others more acceptive and lenient, like GawviGet'em said.

Friends who've come into contact with Amish said they walk away whenever strangers pull out cameras/phones.

As for the home invasion....not sure what their religion demands. I'd imagine some would fight back, regardless. That's more or less the 'survival instinct' (fight or flight) that God programmed into us and usually supersedes whatever religion a person follows.
But there might be some that wouldn't defend themselves? Not sure.

I think Amish are like Quakers - pacifistic. As such, they most likely wouldn't defend themselves physically.

chyatt6385 is about right. I live fairly close to an Amish community, and their Mennonite beliefs are strong. One was asked before "So you mean if Russia would invade, you would just open the doors of the White House and let them in?" Response "Yes, but I would do it while saying 'In the name of Jesus Christ I welcome you'".

These views go against my pesonal views honestly... If you walk down the street and see an old lady being beaten and robbed, what would you do? If your answer is "nothing", then it's like saying you agree with that action. Silence is acceptance, and I cannot accept the abuse of the weak. Someone must be strong and stand for those who cannot, and I can't wrap my head around enabling those would promote desacrilization of the human body - especially children. Being made in the image of God, and loving thy neighbor as theyself. Do those two statements not call us to do hard things when it's required of us?
