So it turns out that Steam doesn't allow group name changes. This officially screws over the plan to rollover the SCISSA group too CASSA.

We will decide what we will do to counter this at one of the upcoming CASSA meetings.

As the real life student group Scissa has technically been converted to CASSA i felt it was time to change the steam Scissa group over to CASSA as well.

Hopefully steam will let me change the group details without to much hasssle but just in case - If anything breaks let me know.

The scissa group isnt just for online play!

At the end of this week SCISSA will be running the gaming lab (Room 13.225 MTL Campus) from 4.30pm onwards. The plan is to run exactly the same setup we had running during MTL orientation and all SCIS students are welcome to come along and have a game. Some food will be provided and steam will be running on all machines in the room providing games such as Team Fortress 2, Left4Dead, and Counter Strike: Source for anyone to play. We plan on making these Mini Lans a bi-weekly event starting from this coming Friday afternoon and eventually plan to expand it in size to the two public labs once the machines have been upgraded by SCIS Support. These will continue right up until our main LAN event occurring later in the semester where we will setup a hall sized room and run tournaments and prizes.

Well we had a pretty decent turn out on wednesday for the tf2 match (4 or 5 of you joined in hte fun). So i was thinking of making it a regular weekly thing. - eg make a scheduled session of tf2 every wed night or something. Just spam your response on whether you think its a good idea into the irc chan.

After a very short amount of time thinking about it, we Scissa members have decided to create a steam group/clan! :D

If you want to join our mighty group simpy get in touch with some of our existing members in order to get an invite (eg via IRC or steam friends). Please note that only scissa members are allowed to join.
