said, the update is causing some issues for clients including crashing upon joining a server. Unfortunately, this looks to be a bug introduced by the steam update. As it is an update related issue, Valve may need to make a correction before clients having difficulty can join the server in question. Additionally, after the update, server queries through tools like HLSW are are reporting hl1 based games as running on the source engine. This too, is a product of the recent update.
