SMD/DMX Export and Import Bug
Not sure if this is a BleST problem or not, but I was asked why an armature wasn't working on a file (SMD Import).

Using Blender 2.80 (Steam version) and BleST 3.0.0 (Check for updates reports I have the most current version)

The file is a blend file that was originally created and saved with Blender 2.79 and opened in 2.80. Very simple model. 5 bones and 1845 verts. User was weight painting the bones in 2.80, exporting the model as a SMD and reimporting the SMD back into Blender 2.80 and was complaining that the bones weren't working on the imported SMD.

Thinking it was a different problem I asked for the file so I could examine it and instruct on the proper process of weight painting but after testing the model, I was quite shocked with the what I found.

Opening the blend file, weight painting, exporting SMD files, importing the exported SMD only to find the weights were transferred to main bone and influences were lost on the other bones.

Thinking that it may be a conflict between the 2.79 and the 2.80 UIs I repeated the tests with Load UI disabled.

Sorry for my clumsiness in the videos with 2.80, but I've only been using it since RC2. I still struggling with the interface.

EDIT: Attempted to test in 2.79, however I found that the original blend file has been save from 2.80. So it is now a 2.80 blend file with 2.79 UI written into the file.

I cannot open this file in 2.79 to test with it, however I can append the model from the 2.80 blend into 2.79. Will test 2.79 that way.

Test result in 2.79 and temporary quick fix for the problem until it can be properly investigated by developers (This is a 2.80 - BleST 3.0.0 bug and it looks like it might be in the export function)

Someone else reported this. It's an issue with the model having a second modifier, as yours does. If you apply/disable/remove it the problem should go away.

I'm not sure why this is happening and won't be able to look into it in detail for some time.

Thanks Artfunkel... I've also provided a different temporary fix as well for those that want to keep modifiers above, until you can look into this.
