The Boycott Left 4 Dead 2 Boycott is a group of individuals who have pledged to buy Valve's upcoming release of Left 4 Dead 2 on November 17th, 2009. We have assembled a manifesto outlining the basic reasons why we will do so. (Note: this manifesto is a new testament version, which we have recently posted to keep our manifesto in line with the middle ground of our members. This is the correct group for boycotting the boycott)



WE RECOGNIZE:

-Valve is a company with financial needs and cannot be expected to survive without the release of new games.

-Judgment does not need to be passed prematurely, because it is valve, and by complex mathematical equasions we see that valve = awesome.

-Left 4 Dead was, and is, a quality game which deserves the praise of the entire gaming community.

WE ARE COMMITTED:

-To supporting valve and all their ventures, and are happy that they are releasing a second version of L4D as we all loved the first outing.

-To keeping the Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 community together in order to improve the quality of online gaming.

-To supporting the model of "oh i think i'll release an extra game this year, rather than a couple of small updates".

WE BELIEVE:

-The release of Left 4 Dead 2 as a stand-alone sequel will make me happy in the pants.

-The announced content of Left 4 Dead 2 does infact warrant a full price stand-alone sequel, and i am quite happy to pay for it.

-Left 4 Dead has recieved several large updates, and with the release of the SDK soon the modding community can have its go, thus the promise by valve is upheld.

-The release of Left 4 Dead 2 will make Left 4 Dead an obsolete purchase and inferior piece of software, IF small minded people consider it to be, a great game is a great game, regardless, is halflife 1 obsolete?.

WE REQUEST:

-That Valve continue its stellar record of work.

-That Left 4 Dead 2 be released as a stand-alone, full-priced sequel and not as a give-away to 'dem rascaly cheapsters.

-That Left 4 Dead boycotters, shut the hell up.



Therefore, we - the members of this Boycott Left 4 Dead 2 Boycott - promise to purchase Left 4 Dead 2, to nullify the whiners who want everything for free.
